A 9 page paper examining the leadership ability of
several fictional characters. Works discussed include Glaspell's "A Jury of Her Peers;"
Bolt's "A Man for All Seasons;" Miller's "Death of a Salesman;" Bertolt Brecht's "Galileo;"
de Saint-Exupery's "Night Flight;" Orwell's "Shooting an Elephant;" and Percy's "The
Moviegoer." Each of these works holds a character that can be used either to illustrate
what leadership is, or what it is not. Without question, the characters exhibiting true
leadership - Sir Thomas More, Martha Hale, Galileo, Rivière - are those easiest to admire.
The others are useful as example of what not to do. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
