They can be found even in strip malls and can offer a wide range of surgical services. Recent studies indicate that these centers have the highest safety ratings of all possible sites where surgery is performed. Despite their high levels of safety, there still are risks that the centers need to address. One examined here is the availability of emergency care should complications develop during surgery.
