Tennessee Williams wrote plays that
spoke directly to the heart through romance, sexuality, brutality and
futility. This 5 page paper argues that In The Glass Menagerie, William
was subtle in his depiction of sexual undertones; in 'Streetcar' he was
obvious and in the short story, Desire and the Black Masseur he is
shockingly blatant. In all three stories, he visibly conveys the sexual
tensions and the violence of the tormented characters with compassion as
well as irony. No additional sources are listed.
