4 pages in length. Being caught in the crossfire of terrorist activity renders myriad indirect victims, those who suffer the consequences of violent attacks without actually being involved in the altercation (Echeburua et al, 2003). Innocent bystanders, people in the wrong place at the wrong time and those who attempt to be heroes are all indirect victims of terrorism when they are injured or killed by virtue of their proximity to the violent activity. When considering the prevalence of terrorism-related indirect victims, it is also important to realize how the terrorist can also be deemed a victim of his or her own actions when under the influence of political coercion. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
