This 6 page report discusses the
contemporary American poet, Ron Padgett. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma,
in 1942, Padgett is often referred to as a ‘second-generation New
York School poet.’ For 35 years, he has created a collection of
poetry, prose poems, translation and essays. Most of his works
are based on popular culture and most are deceptively simple.
Most seem remarkably light-hearted until the reader looks beneath
their surface. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
