(5 pp) Poetry is often thought of as the language
of feelings. The wonderful thing that we have
finally learned about feelings is, that they are
neither right or wrong -they just exist. It is
usually thought, that one person does not make
another feel a certain way. Rather a given feeling
may exist in the presence of another individual.
We will test that theory through the poetry of
Anne Bradstreet and Rita Dove, poets about three
hundred years apart in time.
